Angelville News - Week 9

Week 9

Raves:
· The fourth grade class for their cooperation and respect shown toward both of our Guest Teachers last week while I was away.

Reminders:
· Tuesday is early out at 2:00 for teacher meeting.
· Photo re-takes at 11:30am
· Friday, November 6th is Non-uniform day.
· Prayer assembly at 8:45am

Academics:
Math
– this week we will be working on Comparing values represented by digits in whole numbers using place value 4.1E. We will also begin multiplying 2-digit numbers using the standard multiplication algorithm 4.1F.
Religion – finish illustrating our Good Samaritan stories and begin the 10 Commandments.
Reading – Chapters 28-32 of Maniac Magee, I will post the study guide on the blog.
Social Studies – Exploring the 5 themes of Geography in Washington State, and using the computer lab to research in groups each theme of Washington.
Spelling/English – Unit 8, Long u sound words. In English we will continue to review nouns, parts of sentences and move into pronouns.
Writing – Students wrote about places they know so well that those places have become a part of them. Their inspirations came from the book If You’re not from the Prairie. If in the halls come by and read some of them on the board in the hall.
